LG BL40 a new touchscreen phone

The LG BL40 is a new long and sleek candy bar shaped phone that looks good enough to eat. The phone is super long featuring a 800 x 345 pixel display and a screen ratio of 21:9. The phone is called the chocolate since it looks just like your favorite candy bar. The chocolate comes with WiFi, a GPS and supports multi-touch on its scratch-proof touch screen. With the launch of the LG app store this could be the phone to get this year.

LG app store finally coming

LG is jumping in on the app store action by launching its own application online shop. The store goes into beta launch today in parts of Asia. After a quick beta test it will launch into 24 other countries. There are supposed to be over 2,000 apps available for LG phones by the end of the year and over 100 of those will be free to download and use. To grab a sneak peek head over to www.lgapplication.com and see when it launches in your country. You can download apps to your computer first for transfer later or directly with a LG-GM730 mobile phone. All we can say is its about time LG!

LG launches new Viewty Smart

LG continues their new product launches at the CommunicAsia event with a new Viewty called the “Viewty Smart”. It is a technical improvement over the original but it includes a familiar 8 megapixel camera in the mobile phone. The camera is improved with Intelligent Shot mode which is said to be an industry first. This mode will analyze what you are trying to photograph and make the necessary adjustments to the settings for the perfect shot. The Viewty Smart will be just 12.4mm thick and weigh only 102g. You can expect the Viewty Smart to hit the market any day now.

LG and the see through keyboard

In Barcelona at the MWC2009 there is alot of buzz about the funky design of the LG GD900. The see-through slide out keypad is creating all the buzz. The transparent keypad is rumoured to be made of glass which gives the phone a unique look. Not much else is known about the phone since no one can get beyond the coolness factor. We do know that Bluetooth is planning to release a headset just for this phone alone. The GD900 will also support 7.2 Mbps HSDPA data transfer and will measure 105 x 52.5 x 13.4 mm.

Go pink with the new LG Arena

Mobile carrier Orange got the leg up on competition as it gets the exclusive rights to the pink version of the LG Arena mobile phone. The pink Arena is just a color variant of the popular Arena series so the specs under the hood remain the same as the original. Features include a 3 inch touchscreen with WVGA resolution, 8GB of internal memory and a 5 megapixel camera. There is also HSDPA and WiFi connections to keep you surfing the. The Arena Pink is available now from Orange and is even free with some plans.
